VNU- HCMC picks up 22 Euréka scientific research awards

Twenty -two researches of member universities of Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC) honorably obtained the 2019 Euréka Awards.
Euréka,  the Scientific Research Awards for students, is a prestigious award honoring students with interest of scientific research nationwide. The Awards is jointly organized by HCMC Youth Union and Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, the project “Medical image segmentation and diagnosis” of students Hoang Trung Hieu and Ton That Vinh of University of Science and “Research and Compose low Pt concentration catalyst on base material Ti0.8W0.2O2(18.5%kl Pt/Ti0.8W0.2O2) for direct ethanol fuel cells” of students Pham Minh Toan, Mai Ngoc Tram Anh of University of Technology received the first prize.
The University of Science also picked up two second prizes, three third prizes and eight encouragement Prizes; students of the University of Economics and Law, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the International University won encouragement prizes.
The awards will be given in 12 fields, including pharmaceutical chemistry technology, biotechnology and biomedical technology, intelligent technology, food technology, education, economics, engineering, agriculture, forestry and fishery, laws, planning, architecture and construction, natural resources and environment, and social affairs and humanities.
