Over 77, 000 tourists flock to Vung Tau city

The Management Board of Vung Tau City Tourist Areas yesterday said that more than 77, 000 travelers flocked to tourist sites in Ba Ria- Vung Tau province to avoid the current hot weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the south-eastern provinces during three days of Vietnamese Kings’ Commemoration Day (on April 16- 18).
Because the number of tourists to the sea increased sharply, all of the hotels along beaches were full. Hundreds of cars from HCMC, Binh Duong, Dong Nai parked fully near the luxury oceanfront tourist areas and resort complexes in Xuyen Moc such as Ho Coc and The Grand Ho Tram Strip.
Following SGGP Newspaper’s reporter, the local authorities collaborated closely with relevant forces to ensure public safety, fresh sea environment, services prices and rescue works for tourists during past three days.
Binh Thuan province also received approximately 110, 000 travelers in the famous tourist attractions of Hon Rom, Mui Ne, Ham Tien, Doi Duong, Tien Thanh, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi and others. In the center of Phan Thiet city, room occupancy rates from the budget hotels to luxury ones near the areas increased to 90 percent.
The local authorities directed inspection teams in order to ensure and keep close watch on  public safety, service and food price for visitors, said Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province.
