The Viet Nam Road Administration will join hands with the Lao Transport Department to launch 11 bus routes from Viet Nam to Lao in 2007.

The routes will include Kon Tum – Vientiane, Kon Tum – Champasak, Kon Tum – Attapu, Dien Bien Phu – Udomxay, Dien Bien Phu - Luong Prabang, Ha Tinh – Khammuon, Gia Lai – Champasak, Quang Binh – Vientiane, Dalak – Vientiane and Dalak – Champasak.
The cooperation aims to promote the transport of passengers and goods between the two countries.
Also, as of July 1, 2007 transport companies operating the Ha Noi – Vientiane routes will provide passengers with refreshments and convenient rest stops.
