HCMC calls on investors to six urban planning projects

HCMC People’s Committee yesterday organized a conference calling on investors to implement six urban planning projects to remove 6,223 canal houses with total capital expected to reach VND19,024 billion (US$838 million).

HCMC efforts to create urban planning breakthroughs

Canal house removal and old apartment block rebuilding are big programs of HCMC which have contributed in changing the city’s look and improving residents’ lives. The municipal authorities have issued transparent policies to lure social resources to attend the programs.

Solutions unclear, unspecific for seven breakthrough programs

HCMC has traveled one third of the way to implement the 10th city Party Committee’s resolution in the term of 2015-2020. Still obtained results have been initial, unconnected and yet to create clear changes with unspecific solutions.
