Provincial municipalities and traffic experts are working to come up with infrastructures to relieve traffic from the National Route 51 and improve the road situation of the key Southern economic region.
National Route 51 has long been subjected to severe traffic jams, costing HCMC’s citizens and authorities tremendous amounts of time and money, increasing logistics and production costs as well as creating road crashes.
A new regime of exemptions and a 50 per cent fee reduction for commercial vehicles registered in a nearby ward will be applied at the controversial Cantho-Phung Hiep toll booth from January 20.
