Vam Cong ferry connecting Mekong Delta provinces of Dong Thap and An Giang officially stopped operation at 9.30 a.m. on June 30, finishing its historic passenger transport mission for nearly 100 years, according to the decision No.1956 of the Vietnam Road Administration.
Vam Cong bridge spanning the Hau river to link up Can Tho city and Dong Thap province in the Mekong Delta was open to traffic this morning at an inauguration ceremony, co-organized by the city and province people’s committees.
