HCMC – Can Tho high-speed railway project waits for suitable mechanism

The Ministry of Transport has recently requested the Railway Project Management Unit urgently complete the pre-feasibility study report of the Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho high-speed railway investment project. The Ministry of Transport has set this project to finish the investment preparation before 2025 and carry out the investment before 2030.

VN determinedly stops slow public investment projects

It is estimated that until May 31, Vietnam disbursed only 22.37 percent of its public investment budget. Since the middle of this May, 6 task forces of the Government have carried out the Prime Minister’s Decision No.548/QD-TTg, issued on May 2, 2022, to accelerate the disbursement process by working with related ministries and localities to address current issues.

HCMC finding methods to effectively exploit Saigon River resources

The news of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) cooperating with Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VNSL) to build a ‘mega-port’ at Cai Mep River has received contradictory opinions.
