The HCMC Party Committee's Commission for Organization on May 4 sent a document on receiving students with excellence in graduate education from now to 2025 to departments, units, Thu Duc City, and districts in the city.

Students who are suspected of Covid-19 cases (F1) will be allowed to return to schools after completing a mandatory quarantine period at home and having negative antigen test results with parents’ commitment.

More than 1.86 million students have not currently got any digital devices for online learning, said Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son at the question and answer (Q&A) session of the 15th National Assembly (NA)’s second sitting on November 11.

The People’s Committee of HCMC on November 2 sent an urgent dispatch to the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Finance and the People’s Committees of Thu Duc City and 21 districts across the city to implement a financial aid worth VND427 billion (US$18.7 million) for students in the city in the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long have asked relevant departments and the People’s Committees of provinces and cities nationwide to create favorable conditions for students for a safe return to schools.

Many localities in the country have prepared scenarios to ensure safety for students when they return to school.

Around 95.26 percent of students in HCMC were tested for Covid-19 on July 3 before the first phase of the 2021 National High School Graduation Examination scheduled for July 7- 8, said Vice Director of the Department of Education and Training, Nguyen Van Hieu.
