Ministries to cooperatively form special lane for essential goods flow into HCMC

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, who takes charge of goods supply for Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern provinces, yesterday sent an urgent document to the Health Ministry and Transport Ministry regarding their collaboration in establishing a special ‘greenlight’ lane for essential commodities transport into HCMC.

Southern provinces replace crops on ineffective rice growing area

The Department of Cultivation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on March 25 announced that Southern provinces will grow other lucrative crops on around 126,333 hectares of ineffective rice growing area this year.

Southern provinces to grow nearly 1.7 million hectares of rice

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), provinces in the Mekong Delta have planned to grow summer-autumn rice crop on an area of 1.6 million hectares this year with expected yield of 9.05 million tons, up 258,000 tons over the same period last year.
