ODA disbursement issues of first metro line project need to be removed

The People’s Committee of HCMC has proposed Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh to chair a working session on defining the value of the rest of ODA (official development assistance) loan which will be allocated from the Central budget for the Metro Line No 1 project in HCMC, according to the Office of the municipal People’s Committee on March 22.

Deputy PM inspects progress of Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line project

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh on June 29 led a Government mission to inspect the progress of metro line No 1, Ben Thanh -Suoi Tien, and worked with the HCMC People’s Committee on the implementation of official development assistance (ODA) projects in the city.

According to the Ministry of Finance, by August 30, 2019, disbursement of official development aid (ODA) and foreign concessional loans was merely at VND6.48 trillion, accounting for 10.7 percent of the target of VND60 trillion, set by the National Assembly of Vietnam (NA).
