The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of District 3 in HCMC held a ceremony receiving a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister on May 30.

The encoffining ceremony for Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh started in the morning of January 23 at Tu Hieu Pagoda in his birthplace of Hue City, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

More than 500 Buddhist monks, nuns and followers registered for blood donation while 150 people put their names on a list of organ donors at a festival in Hanoi yesterday.
