The People’s Committee of Cu Chi District of HCMC on May 28 has launched a tour called “Cu Chi- the peaceful and friendly place with sentimental attachment” in response to the city’s tourist program themed “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City” to invite visitors back after a two-year hiatus due to the epidemic.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai gave investment certificates to ten investors with a total capital of nearly US$430 million (more than VND8.4 trillion) and handed investment memorandums to 31 investors with a total capital of nearly $16.2 billion (more than VND370 trillion) at the Investment Promotion Conference in Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts in 2022 on the afternoon of April 12.

HCMC to upgrade traffic infrastructure for western area development

The traffic and construction planning of Ho Chi Minh City lists three major routes to link the downtown to the districts of Cu Chi and Hoc Mon, namely HCMC – Moc Bai Express Way, Metro Route No.2, and the route along Saigon River, plus Ring Road No.3 passing through Cu Chi District. The rational task for the municipal authorities to take on now is to build minor roads to connect neighborhoods to these main routes for convenient traffic and sustainable growth of the Western area.
