The National Center for Hydrology Meteorology Forecasting reported that a low-pressure zone, which is likely to develop into a tropical depression, is moving west and forecast to combine with a tropical convergence range in the East Sea to trigger blustery winds and rough sea over the southern East Sea and the waters from Ca Mau to Kien Giang provinces.

Tropical depression develops into CHABA storm

A tropical depression has strengthened into storm CHABA, the first storm in the East Sea affecting Vietnam this year, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMH).
