Music subject in reformed curriculum facing tough challenges

The reformed curriculum for primary and secondary school is going to be applied for grade 1 and 6 in the academic year of 2021 – 2022, and for grade 10 in 2022 – 2023. This will be the first time music is taught in high school; yet right now, the human resources as well as infrastructure preparation for this new program encounters various obstacles.

Mekong Delta facing grave drought, saltwater intrusion

The Mekong Delta is experiencing one of the hottest period of the year, starting right after Tet Holiday. Several areas in the region seriously lack freshwater, leading to a shortage of water supply for plants and crops. Simultaneously, saltwater intrusion becomes increasingly desperate in river mouths.

Juvenile literature in Southwest VN facing tough challenges

The juvenile literature in the Southwest region of Vietnam is now encountering various serious challenges, ranging from insufficient quantity, lack of regional specific features, to professional attitude among writers. It is hoped that the upcoming Third Can Tho Book Fair would help authors of children literature reflect upon their work to meet the high demand of the market.
