HCMC to spend VND140 billion to help laborers celebrate Tet

The Labor Federation of HCMC will spend around VND140 billion (US$5.6 million) to organize activities and present gifts to laborers in the city on the occasion of the upcoming lunar New Year, the federation said on November 23.

HCMC spent the total funds of VND1,062 billion (US$47 million) to offer Tet gifts to healthcare workers, individuals and families credited with meritorious service to the country, needy households and businesses who made outstanding contributions to thecity’s fight against Covid-19 pandemic during the Tet holiday, an increase of VND136 billlion (US$6 million) over the same period last year.

Command of Naval Region 2 brings Tet gifts to soldiers on duty at DK1 Platform

On January 8, two naval ships of the Command of Naval Region 2 carrying a mission of Naval Region 2 and 12 reporters of press agencies paid a visit and presented Tet gifts to troops stationed on DK1 platform, the Radar Station 590, vessels on guard, the armed force and the People-Politic-Party Bloc of Con Dao Island District, off the coast of southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
