By the afternoon of July 13, Ho Chi Minh City has 15 out of 16 export processing zones and industrial parks (EPZs-IZs) and the Saigon High-Tech Park (SHTP) hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the complexity of the latest Covid-19 outbreak, Ho Chi Minh City is carrying out several methods to protect manufacturing facilities and industrial zones, including Saigon Hi-tech Park (SHTP). Hoping to significantly contribute to the overall development of the city, SHTP is striving to stabilize its production activities and increase export.

SHTP produces high-quality products from research results

SHTPLabs, a member of Saigon Hi-tech Park (located in Ho Chi Minh City), has continuously launched new products of companies in the site to the market. This has proved the effectiveness of a strong connection between research centers and related businesses in the commercialization process.

Intel Products Vietnam increases value of high-tech investment SHTP

At a meeting with businesses in early 2021, the Management Board of the Saigon High-Tech Park (SHTP) set out the goal of becoming a major contributor to the export turnover of Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, by 2025, SHTP will strive to achieve about US$30 billion of export value, and domestic added-value will reach more than 35 percent. On this occasion, Intel Corporation also announced to invest another $475 million in the Intel Products Vietnam (IPV) factory, sending its total investment to nearly $1.5 billion.
