HCMC Police prosecute, arrest former PC03 officer involved in smuggling case

During the investigation extension process for the cases of smuggling 1,282 containers transporting used machines and equipment from Japan and Taiwan (China), the Police Investigation Agency (PIA) under the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Department prosecuted and arrested Vo Van Cong, a former officer of the anti-smuggling team under the Investigation Police Department on Economic, Corruption-related Crimes and Smuggling (PC03) along with six other criminals  Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong, Nguyen Dinh Thieu, Pham Toan, Nguyen Manh Toan, Le Van Thanh, Vu Van Tuan for “smuggling”.

The Police Investigation Agency (PIA) under the Public Security Department of Thai Binh Province yesterday prosecuted and arrested 11 subjects for illegally organizing gambling.
