Ly Son island’s traditional boat race certified as national intangible cultural

A ceremony of receiving certificate of recognizing national intangible cultural heritage of "Tu Linh" (Four mythical creatures in Vietnamese culture including Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix) boat race on Ly Son Island off the central province of Quang Ngai was held by the People’s Committee of Ly Son District on April 27.

The annual “Le khao le the linh Hoang Sa” (Feast and Commemoration Festival for Hoang Sa Soldiers) ceremony was held in An Hai communal temple, Ly Son Island, in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai on April 19 with the participation of a large number of local residents.

South Korea, Vietnam join hand to build Ly Son Island as non-carbon area

An Bình Islet and Ly Son Islands in the central province of Quang Ngai are moving to go green after the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnamese and South Korean enterprises yesterday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to build the two as non-carbon sites.
