President urges education sector to act amid Covid-19

The education sector should act up to the Covid-19 situation and take measures to minimise its negative impact, requested President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in his letter sent to the sector at the outset of the 2021-2022 school year.

HCMC may extend social distancing by another two weeks after August 1

Chairman of the HCMC Peole’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that perhaps it will take months for the city put the ongoing coronavirus outbreak under control. Therefore, the city may extend its current social distancing period by another two weeks after August 1 due to the continuing rise in the number of patients with Covid-19.

HCMC should create favorable environment for global investors: State President

State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday had an online meeting with over 700 voters of 11 communes in Hoc Mon District of Ho Chi Minh City, where he is one of the 15th National Assembly candidates. There he expressed his hope for HCMC to offer a better environment with strong infrastructure and favorable conditions to welcome international investors for a more sustainable development.

Foreign ministry confirms visit by Japanese PM

Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide will pay an official visit to Vietnam in the very near future at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed on October 15.
