The Ho Chi Minh City Statistical Office has just informed the city's socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year with 3.82 percent growth rate of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).

From a deep decline in the third and fourth quarters of 2021, Ho Chi Minh City's economy in the first months of 2022 is making strong recovery steps. Gross Regional Domestic Product in the first quarter increased by 1.88 percent over the same period. Continuing the growth momentum, in April, the city recorded many bright spots, but there were still many challenges to face.

HCMC targets US$ 17.5 billion in budget collection

Ho Chi Minh City was assigned to collect VND 405.83 trillion (US$ 17.5 billion) for the state budget in 2020, a rise of 1.68 percent compared to last year’s estimates, said Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong.
