HCMC finalizes plan for school reopening: City Chairman

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai emphasized that city administration will work with the education sector and the health sector this week to soon finalize the plan for school reopening after Covid-19. Particularly, students in outlying districts of Cu Chi and Hoc Mon possibly go back to school earlier than their peers in other districts.

Unvaccinated people who return to their homelands have to take a mandatory 14-day quarantine and then go into another 14-day period of self-quarantine at home as well as comply with the health ministry’s 5K message and to be tested for Covid-19 on the first, seventh and 14th day of the quarantine period ,counting from the entry date.

According to Professor-Dr. Le Thi Quynh Mai, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, through monitoring and research, Vietnam has not recorded cases of Delta Plus although medical data shows that Delta Plus causes disease symptoms similar to Delta.
