Startup Gcalls with $1 million

Smart Center Gcalls – a technological application of two 9X young men Pham Tan Phuc and Nguyen Xuan Bang – has been granted an investment of $1million from Vinacapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd. This is considered a breath of fresh air for all startups, which are expected to create new material as well as spiritual values

Founders of this startup company are Pham Tan Phuc and Nguyen Xuan Bang, who are two alumni of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and famous names among startuppers. Their various practical applications have been awarded many prizes in the field of technology.
In the press release of Gcalls after receiving the $-one-million investment of Vinacapital, these two young men appeared to be quite relaxed with T-shirt and sandals, yet their own desire is never simple at all.
Pham Tan Phuc, CEO of Gcalls shared that: "The vision of Gcalls is to aid a local business to serve its international customers." The two 9X people planned to spend a majority part of this investment on pressing and decompressing solutions for Gcalls since the infrastructure of the Internet is the key to the smooth operation of Gcalls.
Pham Tan Phuc briefed that Gcalls was founded in September 2015 in Singapore, attracting the attention of many significant investors. Besides the official participation of Muru-D Startup Accelerator and BFBZ Investments Pte. Ltd., Gcalls also welcomed direct investment from Telstra Telecommunications and Technology Company (Australia).
In 2016, Gcalls was selected as one of eight new Vietnamese technological businesses to join in the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit held by President Obama. At the end of 2016, Gcalls won support from Startup Vietnam Foundation (SVF) and Information Technology Park, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (ITP).
In 2017, its body corporate was established in Vietnam, and the product line of Gcalls Softphone was launched into the market as an attempt. The first version of Gcalls Webphone was born in October 2017, and in December 2017, the company officially gained a promised investment of $1 million.
Pham Tan Phuc shared that: "Via the meeting with Vinacapital, we realized that the real investment might exceed the sum of $1 million, which makes us much more confident with our Gcalls.”
Startup Gcalls has had an advantageous beginning thanks to efforts of Gcalls people as well as the support from SVF and ITP. Nguyen Xuan Bang, the founder of Gcall, stated that: "Those two have helped Gcalls a great deal through their technological consultation, office and laboratory provision, network connections, professional advice from experts and our teachers, etc. We highly appreciate all of them."
The technological solution Gcalls was selected as Vietnamese representative to join in the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit held by President Obama and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation event in Israel. It also attracted much attention of investors from Singapore, Australia, and the USA, etc. Customers of Gcalls at the moment are multi-national businesses which have various branches in Southeast Asia like Kova, Ezcloud.
