Techmart - Techfest Mekong 2019 attracted nearly 200 participants in over 250 booths, displaying products from 800 research results on typical technological implementation and innovation in the fields of food processing, aquaculture processing, probiotics to support rice plants, automatic environmental monitoring system for farms, microbiological products to fight against harmful fungi.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung stated that the exhibition of technological research results aims at establishing a strong connection between scientists and businesses, boosting the transfer of modern technologies to those in need, and improving competitiveness of domestic companies for the integration into regional markets.

This special event is also to link members of the Mekong Delta innovative startup ecosystem up to its national counterparts.

Being a part of the Techfest series for key national economic regions (including those in the Southeast region – held in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, in the Central Highlands held in Lam Dong Province, and in the Red River Delta, the Northern mountainous region held in Hanoi), this event is the premise for the important national Techfest to happen from December 3 to 6, 2019 in Ha Long City of Quang Ninh Province.

Also taking part in the Techmart - Techfest Mekong 2019 were Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Dung and many scientists from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region.
