New Offers at Oscar Hotel of Sai Gon

Accordingly, the special room rate is US $60 to $140, including a daily American-style breakfast buffet, complete with drinks and fruit. The Oscar Hotel of Sai Gon is located at 68A Nguyen Hue Blvd. in District 1, and is well known as an international business hotel with beautiful French architecture. The hotel is within walking distance of the city’s major restaurants, banks, airline offices, and tourist destinations such as the Opera House, Tax Commerce Center, and Parkson Plaza.



Amara International Hotels Singapore-based operations managers have appointed Lakshman Perera as General Manger of the 300 rooms Amara Sai Gon. Lakshman Perera says he plans to upgrade and reposition the Amara Sai Gon into one of the top 4 star plus properties in Viet Nam.

Besides the appointment of Lakshman Perera, Peter Wong has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing. Amara International Hotels have plans to open up to 10 new properties by 2010.

Travel to Phu Quoc with no Visa

Foreigners and Vietnamese nationals bearing foreign passports who want to enter and stay on Phu Quoc Island for less than 15 days will be exempt from visa application. Those who enter Vietnam through an international border gate and then travel to Phu Quoc Island will also be exempt from visa application. Passports must be valid for at least 45 days.

After arriving in Phu Quoc Island, if visitors then want to travel on to other localities or stay on the Island for more than 15 days the immigration department will issue visas on the spot.


Eight hotels given Four Star recognition in HCMC

Kim Do Hotel is one of 11 hotels run by Saigontourist and has just received Four Star recognition from the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, becoming  one of eight Four star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. Saigontourist now has plans to make the Kim Do Hotel into a 5 star hotel by expanding and upgrading the property.
