According to the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, after two months of the launch of the contest ‘An Giang Landscapes and People’, the organizers have already received more than 1,000 photos from 100 photographers.
This contest is being organized by An Giang Association of Fellow Countrymen, Ton Duc Thang Museum, An Giang Museum and HCMC Photography Association on occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of late President Ton Duc Thang.
The photos cover topics in natural landscapes, urban areas, handicraft villages, and life of local people and tourists in An Giang Province. Some of the photos are based on President Ton Duc Thang’s life in Viet Bac military base and Con Dao prison.
The organizers will select 80 works to exhibit and award prizes on August 20, which will include a first prize of VND10 million, a second prize of VND seven million and two third prizes of VND five million.
