The conference attracted more than 100 enterprises of Vietnam and Thailand operating in the fields of food and beverage, cosmetic and health care.

It was also to help the two countries’ firms to seek new business cooperation opportunities.

Ms. Ureerat Ratanaprukse, Consul-General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City said that the trade turnover between Vietnam and Thailand reached US$ 13.84 billion in 2016.

In the first eight months of 2017, the bilateral trade turnover was estimated to reach US$ 9.64 billion, an increase of about 11.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

The trade activities between two nations marked an important turning point to actualize the pledges of the two Southeast Asian countries, especially in economy cooperation.

In addition, this would create more and more cooperation chances to promote trade between two countries heading to the bilateral trade agreement of US$ 20 billion by 2020.
