Tropical low-pressure to weaken into low-pressure zone

The national Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting center said tropical low-pressure system will keep moving west for the next 24 hours at wind speed of 15-20km per hour then weaken into a low-pressure zone.

The tropical low-pressure centered at 8.7 degrees north, 119.0-degree east on the Philippines’ s Palawan Island this morning. The strongest wind was up to 40-50km per hour, wind gusted up to level 8.

In next 24 hour, it will move westward, at 15-20km per hour then weaken into low-pressure zone.

On February 16 at 13pm, it will center at 8.9 degrees north latitude; 115.2 degrees east longitude; 360km from Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) Island in the east. The strongest wind near the center will drop to below level 6 (below 40km per hour).

In next 24 to 36 hours, the zone is estimated to move west and west south, about 15-20km per hour.
