This morning (June 5) at 7am, tropical low-pressure developed into the second storm in 2018 over the East Sea.

The storm centered at 17.3 degrees north latitude, 111.1 degrees east longitude to the west north of Hoang Sa Archipelago and 190km from Hainan Island in south and east south.

The strongest wind speed near the center of storm was 60-75km per hour (level 8), said the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

In next 24 hours, storm will move in the north at 5 to 10km per hour. At 7am on June 6, it will center at 19.5 degrees north latitude, 111.3 degrees east longitude, offshore the east of Hainan Island.

The strongest wind speed will be from 60-75km per hour (level 8).

Due to the affection of storm, the western region of East Sea (including Hoang Sa Archipelago) will experience heavy rains, strong wind and the sea rough.
