South & south- central regions impacted by tropical- low pressure zone

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, a tropical converge range caused showery weather and thunderstorm in the south of East Sea and the south central part of the country.

Because of its influence, the mid and south of East Sea including the Spratly Islands and the southern territorial waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau provinces are predicted to experience small- medium rains, thunderstorms, powerful wind of level 6-7, big waves and sea rough. 

From October 27- 28, a tropical low pressure zone is forecast to appear in the Spratly Islands before it will develop into a tropical depression and directly affect to the southern territorial water and the mainland of the southern region.

In the recent days, provinces from Phu Yen to Binh Thuan have suffered medium- heavy rains with the rainfall of 50-100 mm.

Today, torrential rains are predicted to continue shouldering over the mentioned above areas. 

Amid to the current bad weather, local residents are warned of sudden flash flood and landslide in the mountainous region and lowlands.
