Vietnam joins UN Commission on International Trade Law

Vietnam officially became a member of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in a term of 2019- 2025.

According to Vietnam News Agency, UNCITRAL is a legal agency of the United Nations established by the General Assembly in 1966 in order to promote the progressive harmonization and unification of international trade law, and reduce barriers for international trade development. 

This is the first time Vietnam is elected to the commission, and being a member of UNCITRAL which improved position as well as the friendship relations of the country, endorsed possessive efforts, contributions and responsibility of Vietnam to UN common works, including sector of international trade law.
