An opening ceremony of the activities marking the 40th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (September 23rd, 1975 and 2015) was held at Friendship House in Ho Chi Minh City on January 24.

Dressing the ceremony, Chairman of Vietnam- Germany Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Huu Thien said that over past 40 years, the cooperative and friendship relations in the various fields between two countries have constantly developed, especially; Vietnam and Germany raised their relations up to the strategic partnership in 2011.
In addition to promote further the good cooperative relations, Vietnam and Germany have also implemented successfully cooperative projects in the previous years such as establishment of Vietnam- Germany University, German House in Ho Chi Minh City, said representative of German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City-Mr. Leonie Radosta.
The workshops, reports on Germany's outstanding contribution to Vietnam’s economy and education such as German teaching method in Ho Chi Minh City and introducing the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will be taken place in HCMC.
