US soldiers send peace message in exhibition

A specialized exhibition titled “Waging Peace – US Soldiers and Veterans who opposed America's war in Vietnam” was opened at the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.

The exhibition took place on the occasion of celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Paris Peace Accords (January 27, 1973) and the 50th anniversary of the 1968 My Lai massacre in Quang Ngai province (March 16, 1968- 2018).

The exhibition displays 79 photos, posters and articles relating to activities, movements and campaigns against the Vietnam War, calling for restoring peace in Vietnam, unmasking war crimes and honoring US veterans, who have made their efforts in healing the wounds of war.

It is considered as a peaceful message and meaningful activity in the context of the blossomed comprehensive relations between Vietnam and the US in many fields. 

The exhibition under co-organization of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation, the US Veterans for Peace (VFP) will last until April 15.
