Typhoon weakens after making landfall, two new storms brewing

Typhoon Parma has weakened into a tropical low pressure zone after making landfall over Hai Phong – Quang Ninh but there are signs that two new storms are brewing over the East Sea, the National Hydro Meteorological Forecast Center said October 14.


A tropical low pressure zone is slowly moving towards central Philippines with winds of 20-25 km per hour. It is expected to intensify into a storm by October 17.

The second low pressure has appeared over central Philippines and will move into the East Sea by October 17 before intensifying into a tropical low pressure area, according to the center.
