Support Soldiers Living In Poverty

The representative of the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper had a discussion with the People’s Committee of Khanh Thanh Tan Ward, Mo Cay Town, Ben Tre Province about constructing a house of gratitude for Ho Viet Dinh, an invalid living in locality. By contributing VND15 millions (the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper’s staff donated one-day salary to the “Souvenirs of Those Who Went to B” program), Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper (SGGP) want to coordinate with the People’s Committee in constructing the house. After that, the People’s Committee and the Veterans’ Organization planed to construct during the day, so that the house can be built before 27th of New Year festival.
And during the day, the representative of the SGGP also contributed ten million VND extracted from the “Souvenirs of Those Who Went to B” fund to Tran Doan Lam, living at 304 Bai Say Street, 8th Ward, 6th District, Ho Chi Minh City. His two children have been paralyzed for over twenty years because of Agent Orange. He was one of the veterans living in poverty today, who was introduced in the exchange meeting of the “Souvenirs of Those Who Went to B” program broadcasting live on December 22, 2005.
