Storm-damaged Thap Cham-Nha Trang railway line reopens

The section of North-South railway route running from Thap Cham in Ninh Thuan province to Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa province has reopened to traffic on November 26 after taking a battering from storm Usagi, announced the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR).

The railway line has been affected by landslides and the flooding, leading to delays and cancellations of its operation on November 24-25.
VNR exerted all efforts to operate 20 trains carrying more than 4,000 passengers during incident.
Some sections will be closed for repair work. The track at Cay Cay station in Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province that was buried by landslides has been shut down.
