Stamp issue supports wildlife preservation

A new set of four stamps depicting dragonflies was recently issued by the Vietnam Post Corporation.

The four different species of dragonflies featured on the stamps are found on Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang .

Two were discovered during a Vietnam Wildlife at Risk trip in 2007.

Before the discovery, the species, lyriothemis mortoni and rhyothemis obsolescens, had never been seen in Vietnam .

The stamps will support diversified biological research in Vietnam , thus contributing to wildlife preservation.
