According to the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Kien Giang province, approximately 8,000 hectares of shrimp crops have been destroyed by white bass and diseases. The department also suggested local farmers should move shrimp breeds to some places to avoid the high salinity which covered over 25 percent of area in An Minh and An Bien district.
