President urges to supervise care of children

Vietnamese State President Tran Dai Quang urged the relevant ministries to strengthen supervision on care of children nationwide after social media released child abuse in some localities which caused public outrage.

Accordingly, the National Committee for Children, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies must enhance their supervision to performance of the Party’s and the government’s policies and regulations on taking care of children.
Moreover, these competent ministries and agencies must have measures to protect children physically and spiritually.
In addition, these bodies must pay visits to preschools and daycare centers nationwide to prevent and impose harsh penalties on child abuse acts.
