PM directs to impose penalties on traffic violators through camera photo

In a meeting to review traffic safety and order in six first months of the year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc directed to impose penalties on traffic violators through camera photo instead patrolling and direct punishment.

He noted clearly that police force should intensify adoption of IT and new technologies to tackle the problem.
The National Committee of Traffic Safety was responsible for supervising local administrations to implement the year of safe traffic with the theme of safety for passengers and motorbike drivers.
The Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and local administrations to organize demonstrations for road traffic safety awareness by wearing helmets on children in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in August and September.
The Ministry of Transport must submit the edict for administrative sanction for road and railway violation with harsh penalties on drunk and drug drivers and serious violators.
Additionally, police force should intensify crackdown on traffic violation in summer season, festival season and Tet holiday ( Lunar New Year) to keep order.
