HCM City’s leaders pay tribute to late PM

A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s high-ranking officials led by Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung visited and offered incense at late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet’s home on occasion of his 95th birth anniversary (November 23).

Ms. Dung expressed her deep gratitude to the late Prime Minister for his great contribution to the development of the country. She wished his family good health and good life always.
The late PM Vo Van Kiet, also known as Sau Dan, whose real name is Phan Van Hoa was born in November 23, 1922 in the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long. He was an excellent student of late President Ho Chi Minh.
He had received the Sao Vang (Golden Star) Order, the State’s highest distinction, for his immense contributions to the Vietnamese revolution in the past 70 years.
The late PM was loved by many Vietnamese people for his services to the country. He passed away on June 11, 2008.
