Hanoi: Lunar New Year bonus for workers up 8 percent

Nearly 4,300 enterprises in Hanoi announced bonuses for laborers in Tet holidays ( the Lunar New Year), presenting with the average rate of growth of 5.5-8 percent compared to the last year.

The Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said the highest Tet bonus of VND325 million belongs to a foreign-direct-investment (FDI) enterprise.
The FDI sector has an average Tet bonus of VND4.6 million; the lowest Tet bonus is VND700,000.
The highest Tet bonus in single-member limited liability Companies with 100 percent State-owned charter capital is VND50.85 million. The average and lowest Tet bonuses in this sector are VND3.7 million and VND800,000.
Meanwhile joint-stock companies with State-owned controlling stakes offer a highest Tet bonus of VND30 million; the average and lowest Tet bonuses are VND3.85 million and VND 600,000.
The sector of private business sees a highest Tet bonus of VND60 million; the average and lowest Tet bonuses of VND3.95 million and VND650,000.
