Governmental new rural plan helps increase residents’ income

The Mekong delta province of Hau Giang has planned to mobilize all sources to develop production to improve residents’ income, said Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee Truong Canh Tuyen yesterday.

Mr. Tuyen said the province has approved the governmental new rural plan for the period 2018-3030 to build new countryside for sustainable growth.
Accordingly, the province will appeal contributions to develop production of key products along with agricultural restructuring and rural economic transfer combined with production linked with product chains
Hau Giang authority rolled out measures to increase rural residents' income, one of criteria to be recognized as a new-style rural communes.
As per the plan, Hau Giang strived to have more three communes to be recognized as new rural commune by 2020.
Currently, Hau Giang has 23 out of 54 new rural recognized communes.
Additionally, the province will increase mechanization in agriculture and adopt hi-tech in production and processing or organic production.
