Fatherland Front Wins High Praise from the Top

Vietnamese ethics celebrate in a recent "All-Nation Great Unity" festival.

President Nguyen Minh Triet went to Ha Noi's Tay Ho District on Thursday morning to address a rally for the 76th founding anniversary of the National United Front, the predecessor of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.

Mr. Triet said the Fatherland Front displayed the nation’s valuable tradition of solidarity by gathering Vietnamese people from all walks of life under the leadership of the Party.

He said it had fulfilled the task of liberating and unifying the nation, advocated patriotic movements and contributed to the renewal process.

Mr. Triet also remarked that the “All People Unite to Build Cultured Lives in Residential Areas” campaign had penetrated every Vietnamese heart and received vigorous support from the nation’s people because it was for their own benefit.

“Authorities at different levels must pay more attention to this campaign and encourage it in a bid to consolidate the great united bloc and thus create a strong nation,” the president said.

In the evening of the same day, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong attended the "All-Nation Great Unity" festival in Ha Noi's Nguyen Du ward.

Mr. Trong called on the local residents to participate fully in activities organized by the authorities at all levels, particularly the mobilizing campaign of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.

The “All People Unite to Build Cultured Lives in Residential Areas” campaign will help create well-bred and civilized Hanoians living in the 1000-year-old Thang Long during the process of strong international integration, the NA chairman said.
