The management board of Ba Chua Xu Temple said that about 8,000- 10,000 people nationwide flocked to Ba Chua Xu Temple, Sam Mountain in An Giang province on February 1 (the 5th day of the lunar New Year) in order to desire a good and lucky year.
Crowded people visits Ba Chua Xu Temple during the first days of new year.
Earlier, over 10,000 people arrived in the temple from January 28- 31 (following the first and fourth day of the lunar calendar).
The large number of arrivals caused serious traffic jams in Vam Cong ferry and some roads in Chau Doc city.
