The delegation of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City led by Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Deputy Secretary Tat Thanh Cang yesterday visited and offered New Year’s greetings to the Lao Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City with its traditional Tet - Bunpimay.
On behalf of the city’s Party, authority and residents, deputy secretary Tat Thanh Cang wished a happy, successful and prosperous year to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Government, people and Lao students who are living and studying in the city.
Mr. Tat Thanh Cang desired the cooperation relation between Laos and Vietnam in general and between Ho Chi Minh City and localties of Laos in particular will continue to develop further and get more and more achievements in the next years.
On the same day, Director of HCMC Department of External Relations Nguyen Vu Tu visited and offered New Year’s greetings to the Cambodian Consulate General in HCMC with its traditional Tet -Chol Chnam Thmay.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor yesterday informed that out of the estimated 3.4 million eligible laborers to receive rent support from the Government according to Decision No.08 by the Prime Minister, only 1.2 million received this aid until August 15, with a total disbursed amount of VND876 billion (US$37.4 million).
