The provincial committee for natural disaster prevention, control and rescue & searching said floods, heavy rains inundated 1,477 houses (3 destroyed completely), three landslide spots, causing congestion traffic in several places in the province.
At the national highway No.1, many routes connecting to Phu My district, Hoai Nhon district were submerged. In Quy Nhon city, many main streets were also inundated by heavy downpours, causing many vehicles breakdowns and traffic snarl-ups.
Deputy Chairman of Hoai Nhon district in the central province of Binh Dinh Nguyen Chi Cong said heavy rains that lasted from yesterday until this morning damaged the train route at Hoai Duc commune.
Last night, Nghia Binh Railway Management Company mobilized forces to overcome the damaged route and at 8am this morning, the company repaired two damaged routes.
This afternoon, all damaged routes had been repaired completely and the train route has been resumed.
