The flag-giving ceremony is one of activities in the program “One million flags for fishermen” organized by Nguoi Lao Dong ( Laborer) newspaper.
The program “One million flags for fishermen” aims at supporting and encouraging fishermen in 28 cities and provinces along the coastal districts to head to the sea and join hands to assert sovereignty of the nation’s sea and islands among newspapers, relevant agencies and the community.
Speaking about the program, Deputy Chairman of Ca Mau People’s Committee Than Duc Huong said that it is a significant and meaningful initiative manifesting the love of a Vietnamese resident to the national flag and the love of people in the land to fishermen.
