They have eagerly waited for the Christmas carnival with the presence of famous Disney cartoon characters, which will be organised in the country for the first time. The largest one in Southeast Asia is taking place in a 3-km street decorated with hundreds of sparkling street lights.
The event offers a chance for visitors and locals to join vibrant performance pogrammes on streets, learn how to make handicrafts, and enjoy foods in exhibition areas.
Besides the event, which will last through the New Year day, a series of others are being held in Singapore such as the Christmas Wonderland festival, the Hongbao festival featuring giant lanterns, firework display and a count-down party to welcome the New Year 2019.-VNA
