Volunteer awarded $3,000 for his contribution to waste collection

C.T Group on September 9 offered “Trai Tim Sai Gon” (Saigon heart) Prize worth VND60 million (US$3,000) to a citizen, who spent 30 years to collect waste in Ho Chi Minh City.


Phan Van Tan or Bay Tan, 70, at Ward 3, District 11, has voluntarily  fished waste out of canals and rivers in the city.

This is the first activity of the program aim to encourage individuals and organizations to protect and preserve environment.

C.T group established in 1992 is an economic group with 36 member companies in six business sectors: development of apartments, new urban areas and real estate, hi-end tourism – hi-end retail – construction – food & beverage, entertainment,education, health, financial investment, mining and eco-tourism.
