Myanmar delegation visits Ho Chi Minh City Press Center

The Myanmar press delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Press Council Kyaw Naing yesterday held a working session at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center.

This is one of the activities of the Myanmar press delegation in the framework of the working visit to learn about economic, cultural and social issues of the city as well as provinces and cities of Vietnam.

According to a representative of the Municipal Department of Information and Communications, HCMC has nearly 30 press agencies with one radio station and one television, eight E-newspapers, magazines and more than 170 representative offices of central newspapers, television stations and media agencies along with international news agencies.

After five months of operation, the center has become modern working places for journalists of newspapers, radio and television stations where accesses to official news sources. Besides that, more than 50 activities, media events, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and professional training classes for journalists took place at the center.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kyaw Naing introduced the main features of the Myanmar Press Association, and hoped that the two states would boost relationship in the journalism sector, thereby strengthening the friendship.
